{"id":797,"date":"2023-01-31T10:44:00","date_gmt":"2023-01-31T10:44:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.weandmecfs.org\/?p=797"},"modified":"2025-12-11T08:38:53","modified_gmt":"2025-12-11T08:38:53","slug":"johadamis-me-cfs-forschungsstipendium-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.weandmecfs.org\/de\/johadamis-me-cfs-forschungsstipendium-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"Johadamis ME\/CFS Forschungsstipendium 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Prof. Dr. Akiko Iwasaki, Yale School of Medicine, in Zusammenarbeit mit der PolyBio Research Foundation.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prof. Iwasaki und ihr Team untersuchen Blutproben und Liquorfl\u00fcssigkeit (Nervenwasser) von ME\/CFS-Patient:innen auf Immunprofile und Antik\u00f6rper gegen verschiedene Krankheitserreger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In einer wegweisenden neuen Studie, mitfinanziert durch unseren <strong>Johadamis Award<\/strong>, analysierten renommierte Wissenschaftler:innen unter der Leitung von <strong>Prof. Akiko Iwasaki (Yale University)<\/strong> und <strong>Dr. Amy Proal (PolyBio Research Foundation)<\/strong> die Immunaktivit\u00e4t im Liquor von Menschen mit ME\/CFS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dabei konnten erstmals <strong>zwei unterschiedliche Immun-Subtypen<\/strong> innerhalb der Patientengruppe identifiziert werden \u2013 obwohl die klinischen Symptome \u00e4hnlich waren. Diese Subtypen unterschieden sich insbesondere durch <strong>Entz\u00fcndungsmuster im zentralen Nervensystem<\/strong> sowie durch Hinweise auf <strong>fr\u00fchere Virusinfektionen<\/strong>, etwa mit <strong>Zytomegalievirus (CMV)<\/strong> oder <strong>SARS-CoV-2<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die Ergebnisse untermauern die Hypothese, dass es sich bei ME\/CFS <strong>nicht um eine einheitliche Erkrankung<\/strong>, sondern um ein <strong>heterogenes Syndrom mit unterschiedlichen biologischen Ursachen<\/strong> handelt.
